Save Berlin

"Save Berlin"
A while ago The United Revolutionary Medical Office in Eastern Ghouta received  an email saying that the German embassy in Beirut needs to talk to  the office, so I sent them my phone number and someone from the embassy called and talked to me through a translator asking about one of the videos that the office published showing a little girl with Malnutrition.
As a doctor worked as spokesman for the medical office I'm used to explain to embassies and media the situation in Ghouta, the siege, the diseases and the needs, so I started telling him the cases we had, what percentages and all I cared about is Malnutrition. But all what the guy from embassy wanted was the name of the girl and where she is, although I confirmed to him that there are many cases of Malnutrition and it's not the only case.
I started to think; why would he need that information? Do they want to know if what's in the video is legit and weather there is Malnutrition or not? Would they consider taking care of the girl and her family?
Anyway I agreed to look for the kid so I asked them for the link for the video and as soon as I watched I figured out it was at Al-Marj hospital so I contacted Dr. Anas to get more information about the child. I thought if the embassy would not help in curing Malnutrition in Ghouta at least they would help this poor child.
I got back to the embassy with the information about the girl and I told them it's possible to get donations to her, but the response was different and i felt that the translator is hiding something so I asked to speak directly with them in English.
It turned out that the embassy thought that the 3 years old blond girl is raving in German and they wanted to make sure that she's ok as a German.
! OMG! The first thing that came up to my mind is how would I tell Dr. Anas that the embassy that cared about his patient doesn't care if thousands of kids died at his hospital as long as they don't speak German! And that they only cared about the girl because they thought she's German.
What would I say to that doctor who lost many of his colleagues at that hospital and he still decided to stay to help the humans in Ghouta, ANY human!
..........
Dear Angela Merkel and all the German embassies around the world:
Most of the people in Arbin - Eastern Ghouta are blond, maybe they share a common German ancestry with you, because they've been bombed and shelled nonstop by Assad since Eid started.
Dear friends in Zabadani: Maybe you should teach your kids some German so someone would appose the barrel bombs that Assad is using against you!
